Supplying files for print

Please read the following guide before submitting a job for printing at The Image Works Ltd. If you have any queries or need help supplying a job please call 01282 447385 and ask for Andy or Sean.

  1. Bleed and crop marks
    All jobs must be supplied if possible as a CMYK high resolution PDF (300dpi) with 3mm of bleed and crop marks.

  1. CMYK PDFs
    All CMYK PDFs should be set to PDF/X-1 standard and should be supplied as individual pages.
  2. Spot Colours and Cutter Guides
    Any job requiring a cutter guide, remoist area or overprinted lasering should be included on the original artwork as spot colours. This should also be supplied as a separate PDF file as black on white.
  3. PDF presets downloads
    We have provided two pdf presets that can be loaded as a preset directly into Quark Xpress (version 7 or later), Adobe Indesign, Illustrator or Acrobat Distiller for creating PDFs to our requirements. For Quark Xpress import using the 'Output Styles' option in your Edit menu. For the Adobe Job Options please double click and they will load themselves.
