Litho Printing and finishing
Our reputation for award-winning quality litho printing stems from our 30 year history, the impressive line up of computer-controlled six colour and five colour + coater presses, an array of technically-advanced finishing kit and the quality of our management and staff.
Our work covers corporate sales literature, technical manuals, direct mail, report and accounts, prospectus production, POS and packaging.
Unlike advertising agencies which farm our their work, we have our own on-site facilities, so the client does not suffer from inflated prices. Some agencies add up to 30% to the final invoice.
Online Web 2 Print stores
For certain companies who operate with satellite branches or customers, we are able to create Web 2 Print portals. These fully branded online portals enable a corporate client to put a wealth of materials such as brochures, menus, posters, mailers, adverts and display materials on line. One of the advantages for corporate groups is that the corporate identity and message is always managed, because the assets are always under your control. In use, the regional branch or customer may be able to gain access to the system by use of a special code that the controller provides, but they can only alter certain fields such as address details, phone numbers and selected copy fields.
All items deemed necessary can be personalised by the ordering company via a simple to use system where the changes can be viewed. They can then choose to order the item and pay by secure online payment. The job is transmitted to our production facility and within 7 working days the job is delivered direct to the clients. The Online portal is personalised in your corporate style by The Image Works.
Making print work smarter
At The Image Works we are always looking to push the boundaries of technology. We are now able to embed digital watermarks in our printed images which means that when they are recognised by a smart phone they will automatically bring up a dedicated landing page within the browser.

Our organisation works to ISO 9001 and is currently working towards 14001 environmental accreditation. We are FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody certified.
Working with Agfa Apogee workflow, chemistry free CTP and CIP 3 process automation we have streamlined our print production processes to an extremely advanced level.
Working for a great number of customers with an unrelenting commitment to quality, our work is constantly monitored throughout the production process with typical runs ranging from 1000 to 500,000.
Finishing and direct mail facilities
Our post-print finishing operations are unusually advanced for a company our size. As a direct mail company we specialise in one piece mailers and have the ability to print, finish with re-moist glues and attach a coin or credit card before sealing.
A dedicated data management team will clean and sort vast amounts of data before laser or inkjet personalisation departments get to work. Our inserting machines are operated from databases with camera recognition to ensure integrity.

We print and store literature and distribute it on a daily basis around the UK. We also offer a personalisation service where we will hold stocks of brochure 'inners', and print and attach personalised covers in small quantities for regional divisions.
